The guide is marked on the mini-map and can be recruited by Temenos on the Eastern side of the village (near one of the docks). Head North to the Wandering Wood and wander around in circles before figuring out that maybe we need a guide after all. It almost makes up for all the pain this chapter caused me.Ĭhapter 4As soon as we enter the Nameless Village, we get a flashback that gives insight into this chapter's primary antagonist. You can also skip a phase if you deal enough damage during the first break. The boss also has 2 types of shields: 1 to Nullify Status and 1 to Reflect Magic. The way the phases go is that for each phase, the boss removes 1 of her weaknesses and then replaces it with a new one. It seems that Spear was the constant which is perfect because I had Spearfishing. I personally don't know if the Weaknesses get randomized, but those are the weaknesses I found from 2 attempts. First off, bring Spearfishing!! As I've mentioned in another section of this guide, it's a great 1v1 tool to break a boss. I actually got hit by this so ended up having to redo the fight. This is a slight bump in difficulty (but definitely manageable) due to a new rage mechanic which makes the boss attack more often. Combined with his Latent Powers, you'll have 3 opportunities to obliterate the boss without much hassle.Īs expected by how mysterious this entire chapter has been, we have a boss fight at the end. On top of using Throné's Divine Skill once the boss breaks, I suggest having Hikari do the same. There are several pieces of equipment that negate Instant Death but unless you've found more than 1, it's equipping them is just a guessing game. I didn't notice anything too gimmicky during the first and third phases other than the usual high-damage attacks, but in the second phase, he transforms into our old friend and gets an attack that can cause Instant Death. Phantom Snake (Man) Weakness: Sword, Light, Dark.Boss Weakness: Dagger, Axe, Staff, ?, Dark. You can bring what I suggested above (or not), and then just switch again right before you reach the castle objective and the boss. I found the castle enemies harder than the other level 45 zones, but that's probably because their magic weaknesses were mostly Dark. I suggest bringing Dagger (Dancer) and Staff (Merchant works) type coverage on top of Dark coverage. This castle is slightly larger than most of the other enemy-riddle areas we've gone through. Now proceed west into the castle once you're done upgrading/looting.
